My three-month stay in Cork, Ireland, was an experience I will never forget. This immersion allowed me to discover a warm and welcoming Irish culture. You feel at home from the very first day.
I was fortunate to meet amazing people right from my arrival, both within a loving and caring host family and at work, where I had the chance to interact with enriching individuals from diverse backgrounds. Working daily with a supportive manager was a valuable opportunity that greatly facilitated my language learning. Cork is a lively city: with its festivals and parades, there’s never a dull moment. The pubs provide a welcoming atmosphere where you feel comfortable talking to strangers as well as friends. The Irish landscapes are simply stunning—every day felt like a new adventure. The English Market and the streets of St. Patrick’s Street will remain etched in my memory as iconic places where I shared unforgettable moments.

On October 2nd, I arrived in Cork and made the decision to participate in Erasmus+ VET to improve my English skills, experience a different culture, and step out of my comfort zone. I was very excited but also a little scared to start this new adventure. I had some bad expectations due to fear but also good ones—fortunately, the bad ones turned out to be untrue.
I was welcomed by a lovely host family who showed their kindness from the moment I got off the bus from Dublin. From the very first moment, they went above and beyond to make me feel at home. They offered me a comfortable place to stay, introduced me to the local community, shared delicious homemade meals, and helped me with transportation. Their generosity and warmth made my transition smooth and memorable every day.
As part of this program, I interned at Culture Co-Working, My daily tasks included assisting clients, keeping the company’s website updated, managing social media using various platforms, and sharing ideas for improving the office. I discovered I had more skills than I thought, and it was reassuring to realize what I am capable of accomplishing when I step out of my comfort zone and take on new challenges.
Cork allowed me to exceed my limits!!
