Why I Started Writing?
At the start of the year I was “challenged” to write more on LinkedIn and to write honestly. To put it mildly this was difficult for me, it is uncomfortable to put out your thoughts and ideas. The question that you always ask yourself are you right?
You just don’t know for sure, you can only write what you honestly think based on your own experiences and what you have learned. Importantly I aim to be positive and fair.
So how has it been? I have really enjoyed it, the uncomfortable feeling is still there and that might be a good thing. It makes me think about what I write. It has led to excellent conversations with people about what I wrote and these have led to forming new connections.
I genuinely believe that if you treat people well we all benefit. I also believe it’s the only way. Everybody has a right to go into work and enjoy what they do. With Culture Co-Working we are trying to provide a role in that with the spaces that we create and how we fit into the economy of Cork and further afield.
This year I really feel that we have grown into that role. Yes we are not the right fit for everybody and we get things wrong but this is what we are aiming for.
I am sorry if I have bored people!! I will keep on writing on my advice to other people is just do it. Show people the real you.
What’s stopping you?
